About Us
Daybreak Adult Day Services, Inc. is a non-profit organization and a member of The United
Way Agency. In addition to its dedicated staff, an
active Board of Directors governs Daybreak. The Board is made up of concerned citizens,
talented community leaders and professionals throughout
Frederick County.Facility
Our newly expanded building, completed in 2001, houses several activity rooms, a sunroom,
an outdoor garden with a
meditation pond and waterfall, therapeutic whirlpool tub,
resource library for
participants and families, serenity room, and administrative offices.

Daybreak Staff
Our Daybreak staff consists of highly trained,
educated, caring professionals including: a
registered nurse, social
worker, therapeutic activity professionals, certified nursing assistants, meals coordinator, van
drivers and administrative support. The
staffing ratio is 1:6.
Volunteers
Daybreak Adult Day Services utilizes the various skills, talents and interests of numerous
volunteers and interns. Volunteer opportunities exist in all aspects of Daybreak from
socializing with the participants, to
helping serve meals to assisting with art projects, drama and music activities. Volunteers
must be a minimum of high school age. All volunteers provide their own transportation to
and from the Daybreak Center.
